Abstract

Seeing the ill-plight of the students in learning languages and using them in proper manner, I ventured this paper to throw light on some of the points that can help them in this regard. Students think that the skills, soft and convincing, have been introduced recently.  But no, they are very old.  For example, Raja Birbal, in the court of King Akbar, had much of these. Many a story is heard about him. When Akbar committed blunders, he ventured to open the eyes of the king and saved him. In this course, he many times went to the brim of his death quarters. But, he saved himself just because of his soft skills. It is obvious that every minister who worked under a king had these skills extensively. Today, it is clear that people, especially, students lacking these skills. Not only a minister but every individual should need these skills. That makes one’s life easier and happier. So, I defined in my own words, communication, soft and convincing skills. I explained the importance of these skills and also explained how to practice them, how to scale them and how to improve them. And also, I quoted some appropriate examples to make the students understand the significance of these skills well.
