Abstract

University library is the laboratory of teaching and research activities. Library webpage is the mirror of the university library. It is the marketing tool of a university library for its resource and services. An attempt has been made to study the information available and their organisation on the webpage of ten central university libraries of North East India. Central university library web pages of North East India are different from each other regarding availability and organisation of information. Out of the ten university libraries under the study, one university library does not have dedicated webpage. Link to resources and repository are provided on webpage other than library webpage. Library web pages should be more informative and user centric. Library professionals should pay attention in this area and take leading role to develop user oriented library webpage.
