Genetics & Its Practical Application In Nursing

Genetics is of increasing importance in health care, as more is now known about the basic facts of inheritance. This article written introduces the general principles of genetics and its practical application in nursing and links these to real examples to allow nurses to apply this knowledge in their routine practice. Whatever may be the area of nursing, weather neonatology, intensive care or geriatrics it will be useful for them in their practices. As genetics gains greater predictive power & becomes increasingly incorporated in daily health care, it will be more imperative that all nurses have a strong genetic basis.
