The aim of this study is to propose a framework and state propositions to be tested empirically in future studies. The researchers reviewed scholarly articles on the variables and supported literature with established theories to raise propositions. Drawing from social learning theory, we proposed that there would be a positive relationship between transformational leadership style and teacher’s productivity while negative relationship was envisaged between transactional leadership style and teacher productivity. Also, we predicted a positive relationship between teacher quality and teacher productivity. Therefore, it was recommended that principals and vice principals need to inculcate and exhibit transformational leadership style to improve teachers’ productivity. Furthermore, this study agreed that a ‘quality teacher’ will produce superior performance that manifest in improved students achievement. This paper extends research on teacher productivity by proposing a model for empirical studies to test the proposed relationships.
