First Aid Therapy Given At Home In Case Of Burn Injuries

Abstract


To analyze knowledge of first aid for burns among burned patients presented in burn care unit of tertiary care hospital.Setting and Design The study design was observational cross- sectional based.Subject and Method Burned patients reporting at Tertiary Care Hospital were included in this study. Sample size was calculated using WHO calculator. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 20. Conclusions Initial period just after burn injury is very crucial. Therefore, proper seminars, drills educating about first aid therapy for burned patients should be encouraged at the educational institutions, offices, industries, shopping malls and through media among masses.
