Abstract


The survey attempts to gather the information seeking behaviour of women of North 24 parganas.. The questionnaire survey method used in the study. The survey focuses on

frequency distribution of respondent’s age, language known by the women, frequency distribution of respondent’s professional experience, information needs, frequency of library use, tenacity of library use, women’s opinion about frequency of usage of  information resources, tools for seeking information, information channels.
